Amenities

It's all here for your convenience!

A Warm and Welcoming Home

Our senior living apartments are designed for independent living and active lifestyles. We’ve also added special features and amenities for your convenience, especially for seniors with limited mobility. Typical amenities in our newest, senior living apartments include a media center with a large flat-screen HDTV and home theater sound system, craft and game rooms, business center with free Wi-Fi and a fitness center with low-impact exercise equipment. For outdoor recreation and enjoyment, some communities have special features such as P-Patch planter boxes, terraced courtyards and a rooftop deck to relax. Your small pets are always welcome at all SHAG apartment communities. Visit a senior living community for details.

Access-Controlled Environment

Our residents take comfort in our access-controlled communities where they use an electronic key pad to enter the building and an intercom system for guests. Each building also has fire alarm and sprinkler systems, elevator access on every floor and doorways that meet standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Plus, our buildings are smoke-free and apartments are wheelchair accessible with many barrier-free apartments available.

Convenience

All SHAG communities are near shopping and public transit. Select communities have their own dedicated community transit vans for local transportation. Additional conveniences include ample laundry facilities with laundry rooms on every floor as well as washer/dryer hookups available in select communities.

Support Services

Our resident services coordinators are available to connect residents and their families to outside agencies, community resources, support groups, referral agencies and medical providers as well as to facilitate assisted living transfers. Each of these staff members has a bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology, applied behavioral sciences or human services.
