Conservatory Place Apartments participate in a program designed to maintain affordable rental apartment homes for age and income qualified senior residents. These beautiful four-story apartment complexes in Tacoma's historic Stadium District were constructed between 1997-1998. The buildings are access controlled and each is serviced by one elevator. Some apartments are handicap accessible and contain modifications. There are laundry facilities on each floor. Qualifications


Conservatory I: Each member of the Applicant’s household must be age 62 or older.

Conservatory II: Each member of the Applicant’s household must be age 55 or older and at least one member of the Applicant’s household must be age 61 or older by the end of the current year or disabled.

AND

Annual household income may not exceed the following amounts:

Conservatory Place I at 40 percent of area median gross income:
One-Person Household: $19,520

Two-Person Household: $22,280

Conservatory Place II at 35 percent of area median gross income:

One-Person Household: $17,080

Two-Person Household: $19,495

Income verification is required of all members of Applicant’s household with respect to the aggregate anticipated household income over the ensuing 12-month period. Annual re-certification of income is also required, but has no impact on future rents or eligibility.

 


Each of our buildings boasts a beautifully enclosed courtyard. During the warmer months, patio furniture will be placed in the courtyard for the enjoyment of our residents and their guests. A recreation room is located on the first level of each building, and each is furnished with a big-screen television and VCR for use by our residents. For those who wish to participate, various activities will be arranged including monthly potlucks. We also have an assortment of games and puzzles available for use in the recreation room.
