Shag's Meeker Court apartments is one of three buildings in Kent that make up the Tri-Court apartments (in addition to Green River Court and Park Court.) These apartments participate in a program designed to maintain affordable rental apartment homes for age and income qualified senior residents.

• Some apartments are handicap accessible and contain modifications

• Laundry facilities on each floor

• Large courtyard area with a fountain

• Large recreation room furnished with a big screen television and VCR

• Potlucks and various activities are arranged by the resident managers.

• Free shuttle offers transportation to Safeway, K-Mart, Downtown Kent, Kent Senior Center, Top Foods, Target, and Kent's Group Health, Multicare, and Virginia Mason medical clinics

• Shuttle stops near our apartment buildings every 30 minutes, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday

• traveling library comes to each of our Tri-Court buildings once per month at which time residents are allowed to check out books.
  

Each member of the Applicant's household must be age 55 or older and at least one member of the Applicant's household must be age 61 or older by the end of the current year or disabled.

One-person household = $36,000
Two-person household = $41,100

98 apartments in Green River Court Apartments, 103 apartments in Meeker Court Apartments, and 104 apartments in Park Court Apartments are available for the following income qualification as well ( to qualify to rent these apartments, the annual household income must not exceed the amount listed in one of the following categories):

40 percent of area median gross income:
One-person household = $24,000
Two-person household = $27,400

At least 27 apartments in the Green River Court Apartments; at least 26 apartments in the Meeker Court Apartments; and at least 26 apartments in the Park Court Apartments are set aside for elderly disabled persons.

Income verification is required of all members of Applicant’s household with respect to the aggregate anticipated household income over the ensuing 12-month period. Annual re-certification of income is also required, but has no impact on future rents or eligibility.
