Here you are. At the age of 60 and older and finding it harder to stretch your funds. Because of changing economic conditions in the last five years and a longer life expectancy, most Americans will fall short of being able to afford retirement living. This is where SHAG’s mission comes in. Our goal is to provide affordable, quality senior apartment communities for income-qualified, mature adults - with rents ranging from $450 to $1,200 for one- and two-bedroom apartments. No large down payment is required, unlike many retirement communities.
How do I qualify?
Each of our SHAG senior living communities participates in a program designed to maintain affordable rental apartments. Certain age and income restrictions apply and vary slightly by community. Age and income specifications are verified at the time of initial occupancy.
The following are the age and income restrictions you will find at SHAG’s King County communities. However, to learn specific requirements, contact the SHAG Discovery Center; they can guide you or contact the community of your choice.
